Pension Coordinator - Jefferson County
Coordinating and implementing pension benefits in accordance with Pension Law under the direction of the respective jurisdictional (e.g., Birmingham, Jefferson County.) Pension Board program, to include organizing and communicating all aspects of pension. Serving as liaison to the legal department regarding legal issues involving pension and other benefits. Overseeing accounting and budgeting duties; if necessary, serving as back up to accounting staff members. Drafting, reviewing and/or signing off on documentation, resolving conflicts, and implementing quality control efforts of the pension department.
Foundation Accountant - Troy University
The Foundation Accountant position in Endowment Accounting reports directly to the Director of Not-for-Profit Services
and works very closely with the Office of Development. The Troy University Foundation is a 501(C)(3) Not-For-Profit organization functioning as a direct support organization to Troy University for the receipt and management of private support. This position is responsible for preparing financial reports, bank reconciliations, maintaining subsidiary ledgers, preparing 1099 documents, assisting external auditors with the annual Foundation audit, and assisting with investment accounting and reviewing expenditure documents.
